DAYBREAK Concludes Rivision's Readings From Asbury Park 4/25

By: Apr. 08, 2011

ReVision Theatre will be concluding its' successful reading series: READINGS FROM ASBURY PARK with a brand new musical DAYBREAK, words and music by Bobby Cronin. DAYBREAK will be performed April 25 at 6:30 at The ShowrooM. DayBREAK replaces the previously announced April reading.

READINGS is a monthly presentation of new plays and musicals that are in various stages of the development process. The local professional theater group has selected new works to present from hundreds that are submitted. Revision Theatre, and their newly formed RVT Script Club, has selected the most unique scripts with an eye towards production at ReVision.

DAYBREAK is a coming-of-age story, centered around the dark places people may go when they feel lost, broken, or alone. It is about relationships, family ties, love, loss, expectations, dreams, patience, and change. Cast will include: Jennifer DiNoia (current Elphaba standby on Broadway) as Kelly, Kasey Marino (B'way Hairspray) as Dylan, Tricia Tanguy (Marvelous Wonderettes Off Broadway) as Rebecca, David Gordon (Grease European Tour) as Jamie, WILLIAM DEMANIOW on piano, JOHANNA PINZLER will direct the reading.

'We are very excited to have Bobby step in and fill in, Bobby is an extremely talented writer that was recently featured in our [under]eXposed concert series" Says Producing Artistic Director David Leidholdt.

All readings are FREE and take place at The Showroom located at 708 Cookman Avenue. Following each reading will be an informa reception where the audience will have a unique opportunity to discuss the piece with the actors and writers. Donations are always happily accepted.
