The final performance of jazz vocalist Billie Holiday as envisioned by playwright Reenie Upchurch is captured in this powerful musical drama. Set in May 1959 in a small New York nightclub and played by jazz singer Vanessa Rubin, the on-stage Billie Holiday intersperses songs with stories of her troubled life along with historical moments from the 1930's and 1940's jazz scene.
Matinees at 3:00 February 20, 26 and 27.
Press Night/Opening Night: Saturday February 19 at 8:00 pm.
