American Idol™ Season 4 Top 10 finalist Constantine Maroulis stars as Judas in The Premier Theatre Company's upcoming presentation of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Jesus Christ Superstar" at The Henderson Theater in Lincroft opening Friday, June 13th and running through Saturday, June 28th.

Since his memorable stint on American Idol™, Season 4, Constantine Maroulis has yet to slow down! A graduate of The Boston Conservatory was already a seasoned stage actor before the making Idol's top ten, performing in productions of Rent, and Hamlet. Since appearing on the nation's most watched television show, Constantine has starred in both Broadway and off Broadway productions, released his own solo album, toured the country, and even held a recurring role on CBS' daytime soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful. Most recently, Constantine was host of this season's American Idol EXTRA™ on the Fox Reality Channel.

Joining Constantine will be Joseph Russo as Jesus, who has been seen nationwide as Freddie Mercury in the most talked about Queen tribute band, "Almost Queen", He has toured the world in productions of HAIR, and has appeared locally in Jesus Christ Superstar and The Rocky Horror Show.

"Jesus Christ Superstar" is a rock opera in two acts with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, and is based on the last seven days in the life of Jesus of Nazareth. Since the show's Broadway opening in October 1971 at the Mark Hellinger Theatre, Jesus Christ Superstar, the first musical by the powerhouse duo of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber to be produced on the professional stage, has been reproduced regularly, around the world, in the 30-plus years since its first appearance. Memorable musical numbers and Top 40 hits include "I Don't Know How to Love Him" and "Superstar".

In celebration of it's exciting rock music, "Jesus Christ Superstar" will feature pre-show entertainment by local singer/songwriters. Local names include Arlan Feiles, Rick Barry, April Smith, Eric Ginsberg, Anthony D'Amato, Bob Denson, Holtz, Mike Blaxill, Anthony Fiumano, and more. The production is produced and directed by Mark Fleming, co-direction by Jay Casale, and music direction by Anthony D'Amato (NJ premiere of Hedwig and the Angry Inch in Asbury Park).

"Jesus Christ Superstar" opens at The Henderson Theater in Lincroft on Friday, June 13th at 8pm and closes on Saturday, June 28th at 8pm, with additional performances on June 14th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 26th, 27th at 8pm, and June 22nd and June 28th at 2pm. Tickets are $26 for Adults, $24 for Seniors, $16 for Students and $13 for Children age 13 and under.

"Jesus Christ Superstar" kicks off Premier's 23rd season of outstanding live entertainment at The Henderson Theater. The Premier Theatre Company, once again recently named "One of the Best" Community Theatre Companies by readers of The Asbury Park Press, rounds out its summer season in Lincroft with presentations of Damn Yankees July 11-27 and a limited engagement of The Fantasticks, starring 2007 Miss New Jersey, Amy Palumbo and Richard Herzog from August 1-10.
