Chanmee Jeong Is Poised For The Lead Role In Roxey Ballet's CINDERELLA

Roxey Ballet knows talent when they see it, which is what Chanmee Jeong has been bringing to the Roxey stage for the last six years as a professional company member. To meet her is to say she exudes grace both on and off the marley, a passionate artist, she brings new ideas and leadership to the company and has shown her dedication to the amazing work Roxey Ballet continues to bring season after season.

Chanmee Jeong was born in Seoul, Korea, and graduated from Deokwon Art High School in ballet. She trained at Bolshoi Ballet School in Russia and at Vaganova Ballet Academy in Seoul. She holds a BA and MA in Dance from Ewha Woman's University. Chanmee has performed internationally in Israel, East Timor, and India with the Ewha Ballet Ensemble, where she focused on classic and contemporary repertoires, including Paquita, Pas de Quatre, Return of The Prodigal Son, Messiah and You Raise Me Up. Since 2015, she has performed in the US with Karole Armitage in American Premiere of The Witches of Venice with Opera Saratoga, and Roxey Ballet in The Nutcracker as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Carmen as Carmen, Cinderella as Cinderella, and Romeo and Juliet as Juliet. In 2018, Chanmee also has performed with Vladimir Varnava in World Premiere of Isadora starring by Natalia Osipova in Costa Mesa, California and Russian Premiere in Moscow, Russia.

Roxey Ballet has enjoyed watching Chanmee grow and blossom as a company member, supporting her other endeavors as well and celebrating her achievements. To the international company of professional dancers, Roxey Ballet feels like family, always raising each other up toward success. Chanmee will again be embodying the role of Cinderella, a part of our Children's Classical Stories Repertoire and it is guaranteed to be breathtaking and fresh. As with all good artistic work, comes passion, and Chanmee Jeong has that in spades.
