Halloween is coming and the Warren County Library in Belvidere is offering a special "ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE" Make-up Workshop for goblins and ghouls preparing their costumes for the festivities.
In this free workshop, October 23rd at 7:00, Teaching Artists of the Centenary Stage Company will lead participants in a class to transform their face with the magic of theatrical makeup. During the 90 minute workshop participants will learn some of the basics of makeup application, with special regard to trauma simulation with applications into the world of vampires and zombies.
Workshop instructor Erik Gaden, a graduate of the Centenary Theater program and a Centenary Stage Company teaching artist, will take students through some of the basics of application, with a lucky few individuals able to walk out of the class transformed into the world of the "walking dead". Additional theatrical makeup application techniques (old age, fantasy, animals) may be explored depending on time. Necessary materials for the workshop will be provided by the Centenary Stage Company.
The Theatrical Make-up class will be held at the new Warren County Library Headquarters at 2 Shotwell Drive Belvidere, NJ 07823, off Rt. 519 in White Township.
