New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents Café Tacvba, on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 8:00 PM! Café Tacvba, Mexico's leading alternative rock band, is one of the most innovative and influential groups to ever come out of Latin America.

With a career spanning over 25 years, this GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY-winning ensemble has been a leader in non-conformist music. Café Tacvba's lyrics are in Spanish and their music is deeply rooted in Mexican culture, but the group also blends in elements of rock, indigenous folk, electronic and punk to create an ever-evolving musical language. Their classic Re album was named the "Number One Latin Rock Album of All Time" by Rolling Stone and was described by The New York Times as "the equivalent of The Beatles White Album for the rock en español movement."

"Café Tacvba has earned its reputation as Mexico's most visionary rock band," says The New York Times. "They treat rock as a genre worth sustaining only if it could be exploded, repeatedly." The Los Angeles Timessays: "This is one of the most innovative, versatile and lyrically smart bands in contemporary rock. They invite reckless fun."

When he performed his latest show, Edgy, Boundary-Pushing Comedian, at the 2017 Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, Forget the Box wrote that his work was "fresh, poignant, and light-hearted without sacrificing depth. Tickets to see Café Tacvba go on sale Friday, May 4th at 10 AM, visit NJPAC.org or 888.GO.NJPAC (888.466.5722) or the NJPAC Box Office.
