Review: 42ND STREET at MAYO Performing Arts Center

By:
If you haven't had the chance to see a show or concert at MAYO Performing Arts Center in the heart of downtown Morristown you absolutely cannot afford to waste another moment. There's not a bad seat in the house! It was the perfect place to see 42nd Street this past weekend. The large stage with great sight lines worked seamlessly with the glitzy and glamourous dance numbers. Spend an afternoon in Morristown with dozens of great restaurants and shops and stay to see a show and rest assured you will never want to leave. MAYO has a wide variety of theater, concerts and comedy, be sure to check out their website for the full schedule of events!

I couldn't possibly say enough wonderful things about this touring production that is currently opening in London on the West End. Exciting side note: Kate Middleton recently attended opening night in England! This production has everything! The dancing is top notch; it keeps the audience on their toes with its originality and scope while still preserving the classic Golden Age of Broadway flare. And the costumes! Oh the costumes! There is one number where each dancer is in a different color and when they come together at the end it is truly a feast for the eyes. The performers work seamlessly together complimenting each other's energy. It's just a good old fashioned fun night out and I'm so glad I had the chance to see it!
