BWW Blog: Leanne Laurino - The Fairy Diaries: Opening, High Tea, and More

The past two weeks have been nothing but rewarding for Cinderella at UHS! I am writing to you off of a successful opening weekend and could not be more appreciative. Since I have shared with you all last, we have added costumes, lights, sound and held several dress runs with all of the elements!

This past Wednesday, I was extremely sick and stayed home from school. I wound up going to see a doctor to find out that I had laryngitis ! Having to be restored to full health by Friday, I was prescribed antibiotics, steroids, and vocal rest. I was so incredibly grateful to make my triumphant return vocally and emotionally.

This experience has been so unbelievable from the start. Having the show come to life and sharing this beautiful story with audiences is such a liberating feeling. Walking into Cinderella's Royal Reception and watching the small faces light up with glee perfectly depicts why this was all meant to be. I cannot wait to make magic for more impressionable minds and be the first version of the Fairy Godmother that they will always remember. With passion, dedication, and hard work, anything truly is possible.
