Atlantic City Ballet Presents LOVER'S PROGRAM, 2/12
Comprised of talented artists from around the world, the Atlantic City Ballet is filling theaters and thrilling audiences across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and most recently New York City.
The Lover's Program is a program of new and old works by three different choreographers.
Eclipse by Artistic Director Phyllis Papa and is a ballet that is vibrant and exciting, exploring the contemporary and celebrating the summer Solstice. The ballet takes place in the Nordic Lands where people experience six months of darkness. The celebration of Light is one of the biggest Holidays of the year.
Love Royale; by Kristaps Kikulis, a story of college life in the 40's and 50's and the students who find themselves struck by cupid's arrow.
Wait; by Paula Sloan, a contemporary piece dealing with the concept of patience and the strength to find it,
The ACB is directed by founder, Miss Phyllis Papa, who has choreographed over 30 different ballets for the Atlantic City Ballet, as well as having many credits to her name including: Principle dancer with the Royal Danish Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and Stars of the American Ballet, as well as recipient of the 1998 Brazilian Gold Medal of Honor.
