Midtown Direct Rep and Co-directors/producers Deborah Goldstein (Publisher, Village Q), Brooke Lefferts (Entertainment Editor, Associated Press,) and Sandy Rustin (Actress. Playwright, Rated P ... for Parenthood, The Cottage, Struck) are pleased to announce that additional tickets are now ON SALE for both the 2pm and 5pm performances for this year's Listen to Your Mother show. Tickets are $40 and are available online here http://ltym.bpt.me

Fourteen cast members from the tri-state area will perform as part of a national series of original live readings about motherhood (www.listentoyourmothershow.com). The productions will be May 13th at 2:00 and 5:00 PM at The Woodland (60 Woodland Road, Maplewood, NJ, 07040.)

This year's show features live readings by some of North Jersey's most talented writers and bloggers: Cassandra Bollinger, Danielle Hark, Jacqueline Tapp, Jennifer Rubin Larson, Julie Campbell, Kathleen Harris, Marietta B. Zacker, Rachel Braun Scherl, Gary Forman, Sabina Soloway, Sandy Castor, Verta Maloney, Stacey Gill, and Stephanie Nasteff-Pilato.

The mission of each Listen to Your Mother production is to take the audience on a well-crafted journey that celebrates and validates motherhood (in all of its complexity, diversity, and humor) in the form of original readings performed live on-stage by their authors.

Listen to Your Mother aims to support motherhood creatively through artistic expression, and also financially, through contributions to non-profit organizations supporting families in need. The North Jersey show will be donating 10 % of ticket proceeds to REAL HOUSE, Inc.-- a safe haven for women who have nowhere else to turn. REAL HOUSE, Inc. is a licensed program with locations in Montclair, Bloomfield, and Newark, New Jersey that provides substance abuse treatment for women who need shelter, intensive outpatient, or halfway house lodging. With REAL HOUSE, Inc.'s support, women who were once homeless can begin to heal and transform their lives.
