ARSENIC & OLD LACE Closes at Ritz Theatre Company April 3
The Ritz Theatre Company presents veteran actresses Ginna Higgins and Susan Dewey as the murderous Brewster sisters in the hilarious comedy by Joseph Kesselring, "Arsenic & Old Lace" at the historic Ritz Theatre, 915 White Horse Pike, Arts District, Haddon Township, NJ. Peformances take place through April 3rd.
Arsenic & Old Lace is about the elderly Brewster sisters who are famous in their Brooklyn neighborhood for their numerous acts of charity. However, their charity includes poisoning lonely old men who come to their home looking for lodging. The two women are assisted in their crimes by their mentally challenged nephew who believes he is Teddy Roosevelt and who frequently blasts a bugle and yells 'charge' as he bounds up the stairs. Matters get complicated when their nephew, a theater critic learns his two old aunts have been serving gentlemen callers lethal elderberry wine.
Ginna Higgins and Susan Dewey play sisters Martha and Abby Brewster. John Jackowski plays their theater critic nephew, Mortimer Brewster. Carrie Share is Elaine Harper, Mortimer's fiancé. Art Thompson plays the mentally challenged Teddy "Roosevelt" Brewster.
