The Ritz Theater will present Angels in American parts 1 and 2 in rotating repertory beginning on August 18.

Angels in America: Part One
Millennium Approaches

Winner of the 1993 Tony Award for Best Play and 1993 Pulitzer Prize for Drama! Set in America in the 1980s against a backdrop of greed, sexual politics, and the discovery of a new disease: AIDS, Tony Kushner's Millennium Approaches carries a magnitude of strength that distinguishes it from other love stories, leaving you breathless and wanting more. The Collaborative Act Studio brings their acclaimed production of this modern classic to the stage as we reprise the broadest and deepest American play of our time.

Performance dates; August 18, 20, 25, 27 @ 8:00 pm & August 20 & 28 @ 2:00 pm

Angels in America: Part Two
Perestroika

Winner of the 1994 Tony Award for Best Play and 1994 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play! The continuum of our rotating repertory production, Perestroika, begins at the final scene of Millennium Approaches, and guides us to an ultimately stirring conclusion. Perestroika is sure to dazzle those who missed Millennium Approaches, and send chills up the spines of those returning for their second dose of Kushner's epic masterwork in its entirety.

Performance dates; August 19, 26, 28 @ 8:00 pm and August 21 @ 2:00 pm

Angels in America Parts I & II are Produced by Ted Wioncek III, Producing Artistic Director of the Collaborative Act Studio and Directed by Marjorie Sokoloff, Professor and head of the Theatre Department, Camden County College in Blackwood. Ms Sokoloff won the 2010 Perry Award for Outstanding Direction of a Musical for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee."
