A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS Comes To Music Mountain Theatre

The classic animated television special A Charlie Brown Christmas comes to life in this faithful stage adaptation, in which Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts Gang discover the true meaning of Christmas.

When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism he sees among everyone during the Christmas season, Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas pageant. Charlie Brown accepts, but this proves to be a frustrating endeavor. When an attempt to restore the proper holiday spirit with a forlorn little Christmas fir tree fails, he needs Linus' help to discover the real meaning of Christmas.

Returning for a second-year as Charlie Brown is Tyler Hentz. Tyler has appeared at MMT most recently in the ensemble of Curtains and as Tommy Djilas in The Music Man, for which he won the Subscriber's Favorite Youth Actor Award this year. Tyler has also starred at the Walnut Street Theatre in Elf and in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

Tyler's favorite moment in A Charlie Brown Christmas is when Linus says, "it's not bad at all, really. Maybe it just needs a little love." I love this line because it really shows the essence of what Christmas is all about. It's not about the presents and flashiness of the holiday season; it's about seeing the potential in things and others through acceptance and love.

Also starring are MMT Junior Company Members Emmie Herman, Drew Freeman, and Jason Weiland as Sally Brown, Linus, and Snoopy, respectively.

The performances on December 15th at both 11am and 1pm will be ASL interpreted as part of MMT's initiative to make theatre accessible to all. Trained ASL interpreters are paired with trainees and they interpret one full day of children's theatre performances for each show in the season.

Santa Hat Day at A Charlie Brown Christmas is also December 15th at the 11am performance only! All audience members will get a MMT Santa Hat!

Find your Christmas spirit right here in Lambertville! Performances run December 15 through 22 on Saturdays at 11am and 1pm. Tickets are $8 and are available online at www.musicmountaintheatre.org or by calling the box office at 609-397-3337.
