This stunning production of Romeo & Juliet is inspired by 16th century morality plays, but designed specifically with the 21st century audience in mind. Wandering players transform an Elizabethan marketplace into a playing space with a chalk circle and the audience’s imagination. This stunning production captures the youthful passion and ultimate tragedy of Shakespeare’s best-loved story. Romeo & Juliet was nominated for Outstanding Performance in the Theatre for Young Audiences Division at the Dora Mavor Moore Awards in 2007. The performance captures the youthful passion, beauty, and ultimate tragedy of Shakespeare’s timeless and unforgettable story.

Over the last ten years, Classical Theatre Project has inspired, educated, and entertained over a half a million students, proving that Shakespeare doesn’t have to be boring.
