Dickens’ America is a one-man play that brings to life Charles Dickens’ 1842 tour of the United States, adapted by Steve Jackson, CEO of The Park Theatre. Acclaimed actor Adam Sowers performs the role of Dickens, with direction by Lisa Bostnar. The staged reading explores the complexities of a young nation through Dickens’ observations and wit, offering insights that resonate today. This special event takes place on December 13, 2025, as part of the New England Dickens Fest.
