Park Theatre's RST Presents MRS. MINIVER (1942) Free In Honor Of Veterans Day

The Park Theatre announced today that its interim theatre, the River Street Theatre, will present as its annual Veterans Day free movie, the acclaimed WWII classic film Mrs. Miniver, at 12pm and 7pm on Sunday, November 11th. The film will be presented without admission cost.

Winner of 6 Academy Awards® including Best Picture for 1942, Mrs. Miniver, is "Certified FRESH" by RottenTomatoes.com with a score of 92%. The story is about an upper-class British family dealing with the trials and tribulations of WWII. Greer Garson won Best Actress as the beloved matriarch of the clan. The film also stars Walter Pidgeon, Teresa Wright, Richard New, and Dame May Whitty. In 2006, Mrs. Miniver was ranked the 40th most inspirational film of all time by the American Film Institute. The film is presented in its recently restored high definition format.

Mrs. Miniver is free for everyone. However it is strongly recommended that reservations be made by going to www.RiverSt.org or by calling the River Street Theatre box office at (603) 532-8888. Free pizza and soda will be given to all veterans and their families before each screening. Doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime.
