The hero goes off to war and those at home are left to pick up the pieces of their lives... a classic love story of passion and joy, grief and laughter.  But playwright Robert Macadaeg's evocative new script has a contemporary twist: the hero is Jimmy's wife.  Arlington considers with loving tenderness all the pressures war puts on a relationship, made even more complicated by the modern re-definition of gender boundaries.

NHTP Artistic Director Genevieve Aichele was drawn to Macadaeg's play on first reading and states "Arlington is an exciting and beautifully crafted script that courageously explores the complicated nuances of changing gender roles in America." Pulled in by Macadaeg's innovative style of storytelling, director CJ Lewis is excited to head the skilled duo of actors Robin Fowler and Christine Penney. With original music by Jonny Peiffer, costume design by Michele Macadaeg and set & lighting design by Meghann Beauchamp, Arlington opens on April 1, 2011.

Arlington is generously sponsored by Gold Sponsors Ben Fowler & Sarah Haskell; Silver Sponsors Joseph & Kimberly Army, James PatRick Kelly, and Ted & Lindsay Mortner; Bronze Sponsor The Atticus Group; Andres Tamayo; and In-kind Sponsors Alan Ammann and Best Western Wynwood Hotel & Suites.

NHTP will host a community forum on Sunday, April 3 from 4-5:30 pm entitled Protect Your Work in the 21st Century: A Forum for Writers & Other Creative Folk. Panelist will include attorney Matt Saunders, a partner with Saunders & Silverstein, LLC, specializing in Trademark Law, Copyright Law, Internet Law, Software Law & Entertainment Law, Arlington playwright/web designer Robert Macadaeg and playwright/science fiction/podcast guru James PatRick Kelly.
