Bolshoi's THE NUTCRACKER Set for Peterborough Players' Arts on Screen 2015-2016 Series
A great holiday tradition deserves to return year after year. Luckily, this holiday production returns to Southern New Hampshire for all to enjoy again or for the first time. The Peterborough Players' Arts on Screen 2015-2016 Series proudly presents an encore "live from Moscow" presentation of the Bolshoi Ballet's production of Tchaikovsky's THE NUTCRACKER, this Sunday, December 20th at 1pm.
Based on E. T. A. Hoffmann's story, THE NUTCRACKER is one of the greatest classics in the world. With iconic music by Tchaikovsky, and enchanting sets and costumes, this beautiful tale explores the universal themes of love, power and evil. This choreographic version, created for the Bolshoi by Yuri Grigorovich, is full of romanticism and philosophical reflection on ideal love. Masterfully interpreted by the Bolshoi dancers, it will enchant the whole family for the festive season, proving that one is never too young or too old to be swept away by THE NUTCRACKER.
The Peterborough Players' Arts on Screen series is presented in stunning NEC high definition digital projection and incomparable Dolby Surround Sound.
Bolshoi Ballet tickets are $20 each. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Box Office at 603-924-7585 or online at PlayersTix.com. Ticket price for children and students (current ID required) are $15. The Players accepts MasterCard, Visa or American Express.
