The story
The womanizer Don Giovanni has his sights put on Donna Anna, the daughter of the Commendatore. This seduction attempt failed and the Commendatore challenges Don Giovanni to a duel. The old man is mortally wounded. Don Giovanni strikes, along with his servant Leporello, on the run. Donna Anna and her fiancé Don Ottavio swear to avenge the murder of her father. Meanwhile, Donna Elvira looking for Don Giovanni, her lover with whom she was once married.

After Don Giovanni tried the peasant girl Zerlina's court, he gets it literally with her husband Masetto to stick. In his flight Don Giovanni arrives in the cemetery. There he invites into his hubris the statue of the Commendatore for supper. To his astonishment the statue accepts the invitation and summons Don Giovanni to repent. Don Giovanni refuses and is engulfed by flames from hell.
