Emmy-winning siblings Derek and Julianne Hough returned to their home state on Wednesday, June 7 for two performances of MOVE - BEYOND - LIVE ON TOUR at the Eccles Theater.

The crowd-pleasing show was a whirlwind of spectacle that allowed the Houghs to not only dance in many styles, but also sing and showcase their winning personalities. They brought impeccable technique, unmatched stamina, and genuine gratitude to an evening that was wildly entertaining and inspiring.

Beloved for their multiple "mirror ball"-winning stints as dance pros on DANCING WITH THE STARS, Julianne now serves as a judge for the show, while Derek judges on the new WORLD OF DANCE. In addition to multi-faceted careers in music, theatre, film, and television, they both recently headlined live television musical events--Julianne as Sandy in GREASE LIVE! and Derek as Corny Collins in HAIRSPRAY LIVE!

MOVE - BEYOND, choreographed by SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE's Nappytabs, offered something for everyone, proving that the Houghs can conquer just about any style of dance. Cutting edge dystopian routines dripping with sexuality contrasted more traditional fare, such as a throwback homage to classic movie musicals. Highlights included an impressive Disney medley performed to parody the siblings' successes and a stunning MOULIN ROUGE-inspired sequence featuring incredible movement, raw passion, soaring vocals, and affecting visuals.

The extraordinary company of dancers selflessly directed the focus on the stars, but their talent and commitment continuously matched the energy and technique of the nearly flawless Houghs. Ever-changing lighting, costuming, and scenic elements upped the ante of the artistry at every turn.

The Live at the Eccles series brings well-known names in music, dance, comedy, and the spoken word to the new Eccles Theater. For more information and to buy tickets, visit www.live-at-the-eccles.com.
