Untitled Hosts Annual Midsummer's Night Show & Fundraiser GLOW SHOW 7/24

From 7 - 11PM on Friday night, July 24, 2009, Avenue 9 (Near Cummins Station) flips the lights for Untitled's annual midsummer's night show and fundraiser, "Glow Show: An Illuminated Art Event".

Glow Show invites you to step through the darkness into another world where all illumination comes from original works of art. A $5 minimum donation is requested at the door.

The brilliance includes door prizes, glowing art from local artists, affordable art, and a photography slideshow by SNAP Nashville. Glowing performers include: Music City Burlesque, Hooprama, Leela Sophina Queen of the Air, live music by D.J. Synapse Trap, and more. Door Prizes will be given out from sponsors such as Billy Reid, Grimey's New & Preloved Music, Plaza Artist Materials, and more.

And you'll also be able to visit Untitled‘s "small works" table and find art for any budget. No matter what your taste in art, your interest is certain to be lit by the wide variety of art by luminaries from across Middle Tennessee.

The art party of the summer, "Glow Show: An Illuminated Art Event" continues a more than decade-old Nashville tradition of self-lit and black-lit art shows. Besides being a fantastic party in the dark, Glow Show also raises money for the Untitled Artists Group - an artist-run non-profit organization with a variety of unique art programs.

Avenue 9 hosts this glowing night of uncensored art for unlimited audiences. Avenue 9 is simple, yet well appointed, with enough space to hold over three hundred, yet cozy enough to accommodate the intimate of clinics and classes. During the "Glow Show: An Illuminated Art Event", SNAP (Society of Nashville's Artistic Photographers) will host a digital slideshow of photographic images. SNAP provides a forum for presenting and discussing member's work in formal and informal settings. Members foster artistic growth through an open dialogue of insightful criticism and feedback.
