Led by Music Director Giancarlo Guerrero and President and CEO Alan D. Valentine, the Nashville Symphony has a growing international reputation for its recordings and innovative programming. With more than 140 performances annually, the 83-member Nashville Symphony is an arts leader in Nashville and beyond, offering a broad range of classical, pops and jazz concerts; special events; children's concerts and community outreach programs.

1. Rachmaninoff & Bruckner

Sparks will fly at the keyboard when soloist Kirill Gerstein joins the orchestra to perform Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto, a piece overflowing with memorable melodies. Bruckner's monumental Third Symphony will show off the Schermerhorn's acoustical splendor, and this vibrant evening opens with the world premiere of Diaspora by Conni Ellisor, a Nashville-based composer who infuses her work with the sounds of American folk and roots music.

2. Guitar Orchestra of Barcelona
Thursday, April 14, at 7 p.m.

Concert presented without orchestra

Hear the incredible sound of 25 accomplished guitarists performing as one when this celebrated Spanish ensemble makes a rare stop in Nashville. Led by director Sergi Vicente, they'll explore a wide range of music, from the Baroque to the modern day, with a special focus on the spirited sounds of their homeland.

3. Show Hope's 2nd Annual Spring Celebration presents Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella

Friday, April 15, at 7 p.m.
Show Hope presents its second annual production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's beloved Cinderella,: Enchanted Edition. This not-to-be missed concert features an all-star cast, including Jodi Benson (the voice of Ariel from Disney's "The Little Mermaid") as The Queen, Alli Mauzey as Cinderella, Anthony Fedorov, Jake Speck and Steven Curtis Chapman. With colorful costumes, a bit of dancing and a good measure of magic, the set will be Nashville's breathtaking Schermerhorn Symphony Center with music performed by the Nashville Symphony. Tickets to this event will go on sale to the general public February 7, 2011.

Dvo?ák's Eighth Symphony conjures visions of forests and fields, fairy tales and village festivals, with a big finish guaranteed to leave your heart racing. Saint-Saëns wrote his Third Violin Concerto for the legendary virtuoso Pablo de Sarasate, but soloist Chee-Yun will make it entirely her own, thanks to her brilliant technique, dazzling tone and riveting stage presence.
