Nashville's GroundWorks Theatre will hold auditions for its first two productions of the 2009-2010 season on Sunday, September 6 from from 11 to 1 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Darkhorse Theatre, 4610 Charlotte Avenue.

Eat the Runt, by Avery Crozier, is described as a comedy that toys with ideas of perception, political correctness, and societal and cultural norms, requires eight actors ages 30-50.

Robert A. O'Connell's Christmas on the Pecos is a tale of two modern-day cowboys, a couple fleeing to a better life and a group of travelers lost in a snow storm; the script requires eight actors, ages 30-60, including one Latino couple in their 20s.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the scrip; headshots and resumes helpful, but not required.
No appointments are necessary. All actors and technical crew will be paid by gate share. For further information, call Robert O'Connell at (615) 262-1832.

Also included in GroundWorks' 2009-2010 season are Neil LaBute's Fat Pig and Michael Murphy's The Conscientious Objector.
