CC Playhouse to Present ASL Performance of ANNE FRANK, 4/24
On Thursday, April 24 at 7:30 PM, Cumberland County Playhouse will present a special performance of The Diary of Anne Frank that will be interpreted for the deaf and hearing impaired. The American Sign Language interpreters for the event will be Crosville residents Bob and Kathy Tolich who, between the two of them, share thirty years' experience signing and interpreting in law enforcement, church, concert and community settings. The couple moved to Crossville in 2013, and have been active in reaching the deaf community in Crossville and the surrounding areas ever since.
This interpreted performance is part of the Playhouse's ongoing efforts to make theater accessible to underserved groups in Cumberland County and all of Tennessee; Playhouse Producing Director Jim Crabtree hopes that the theater can provide interpreted performances for all of the upcoming CCP productions in 2014. The Diary of Anne Frank is sponsored by Life Care Center of Crossville. For more information, or for tickets and reservations, call the box office at 931-484-5000.
Also at the Playhouse, the hilarious farce The Foreigner (rated G, co-sponsored by Beltone Hearing Aid Center and Crossville Tile Outlet), has now been held over through May 16. Annie Get Your Gun starring Kellye Cash (rated G, sponsored by Plateau Pediatrics) opens May 2 and runs through July 11. Tickets and information are also available for Southern Stars Symphonic Brass and other events.
All CCP productions are made possible through sponsor support, with additional support provided by the Tennessee Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
