A genre-bending, multi-award-winning theatrical production by Out of the Forest Theatre that re-examines the infamous 1892 Lizzie Borden murder case. The play blends dark gallows humour, vaudevillian horror, and courtroom drama with a live soundtrack of bluegrass music and traditional murder ballads. Andrew Borden and his wife Abby are found dead in Fall River, Massachusetts, and their daughter Lizzie becomes the main suspect, later acquitted but forever cast as an infamous icon. Out of the Forest Theatre is a UK-based ensemble known for setting forgotten historical stories to folk music.
