Montana Repertory Theatre, in partnership with the UM School of Theatre and Dance, presents the world premiere of Kendra Mylnechuk Potter's new play, Can’t Drink Salt Water. This production addresses the missing and murdered Indigenous people epidemic through the intertwining stories of a mother searching for her missing daughter and a young woman at an evangelical shelter for victims of sex trafficking. The cast features Indigenous artists, including Allison Hicks, Serenity Mariana, and Jennifer Rader, along with University of Montana students Shadie Wallette and Octavio Jimenez. The creative team also includes costume design by Asa Benally and lighting design by Emma Deane, enhancing this vital exploration of identity and community care.
