All concerts are performed at the Liberty Performing Arts Center, 1600 South Withers Road in Liberty, MO unless otherwise noted.In 1971, the Liberty Symphony Orchestra was born in Liberty, Missouri, through the efforts of its founding conductor, Dr. Phillip C. Posey, and the assistance of William Jewell College. Each year, the Symphony presents a series of four regular concerts and a series of educational concerts.

Originally a small college and community orchestra, the Liberty Symphony has grown into a mature symphonic ensemble with complete instrumentation and a growing command of the world's great literature. More than 80 professional and amateur musicians, representing Liberty and virtually every community in the northern metropolitan area, comprise an ensemble dedicated to the finest in symphonic performance.

The mission of the Liberty Symphony Orchestra is to enhance the quality of life in the greater Liberty community by promoting the enjoyment and appreciation of classical music. We invite you, your family and friends to help build stronger community by becoming part of the oldest cultural arts organizational in Liberty.
