The Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre's 51st Season continues with Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic, The Sound of Music, opens today.
Kylie Renwick, Cole Walker, Sydney Patterson, Amy Justman, Audrey Rae McHale, Abigail Rainwater, Nora Hennessy and Neil Patrick CathroWhen the irrepressible novice, Maria, proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her unorthodox approach quickly wins over the children but conflicts with the structure that the Captain insists upon.
Making her Lyceum debut in the role of Maria is Amy Justman. Broadway credits include Susan in the 2006 John Doyle revival of Company (PBS' Great Performances/Original Revival Cast Recording) and White Christmas. Other New York credits include Where's Charley?, Lost in the Stars, and Music in the Air (Encores), Bernstein's Mass and The Grapes of Wrath (Carnegie Hall), and performances with NY City Ballet and City Opera. Regional roles include Heidi in Title of Show (Repertory Theatre of St. Louis), Claire in Ordinary Days (Adirondack Theatre Festival), and Mrs. Nordstrom in A Little Night Music(Centerstage).
Gary Lindemann is also making his Lyceum Theatre debut in the role of Captain von Trapp. Broadway: Phantom of the Opera (Raoul).
