THE WIZARD OF OZ Plays The Orpheum Theatre 3/26-28
The Wizard of Oz, the magical stage production based on the Royal Shakespeare Company's celebration of the 1939 MGM film starring Judy Garland, debuts at Hennepin Theatre Trust's Orpheum Theatre for a limited engagement of only five performances, March 26-28, 2010. Twelve local children will be chosen to perform as Munchkins for all Minneapolis shows at auditions held Saturday, Feb. 20 at Hennepin Stages in downtown Minneapolis. The Wizard of Oz is presented by Hennepin Theatre Trust as a special addition to its 2009/10 Broadway Across America-Minneapolis Season.

Performance dates for The Wizard of Oz are Friday, March 26 through Sunday, March 28, 2010 at the Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Avenue, Mpls., 55403). Show times are Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 1 and 6:30 p.m.
