Milwaukee Repertory Theater presents the powerful theatrical event, Until The Flood in the Stiemke Studio beginning now through April 22. Fresh off its Off-Broadway run where it earned a New York Times Critics' Pick, Until The Flood is performed by powerhouse creator and Pulitzer Prize finalist Dael Orlandersmith.

Until The Flood explores the reactions of the St. Louis region to the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Orlandersmith crafted a stunning play by conduction hundreds of interviews to create eight characters with unique perspectives that reflect a range of human experiences in this tour-de-force one woman show.

Until The Flood creative team includes director Neel Keller (Associate Artistic Director of Center Theatre Group), set designer Takeshi Kata (Public Theatre's Office Hour), costume designer Kaye Voyce (Broadway's The Real Thing), lighting designer M.L. Geiger (Broadway's The Constant Wife), sound designer Justin Ellington (Lincoln Center Theatre's Pipeline), projection designer Nick Hussong(Off-Broadway's White Guy on the Bus) and stage manager Sarah Deming-Henes (Milwaukee Rep's Holmes and Watson).

After each performance of Until The Flood The Rep will present ACT II which features a community guest responder followed by facilitated small group discussions lead by the Zeidler Center for Public Discussion. With the success of Act II for American Song and Disgraced, these dialogues are a sought-after audience experience. Guest responders include Vincent Lyles, President & CEO Boys & Girls Club; Fred Royal, President NAACP Milwaukee Branch; Dasha Kelley, artist; John Chisholm, Milwaukee County District Attorney; Nate Hamilton, The Coalition for Justice; Jordan Lee, Programs Director 88Nine Radio Milwaukee; Senator Lena Taylor and Chief Judge Maxine White to name a few.
