Marcus Center Continues New Series with Savion Glover's BARE SOUNDZ; Tickets On Sale 10/2

The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts continues its new Marcus Center Presents series this fall with Savion Glover's BARE SOUNDZ on Tuesday, November 8 at 7:30 p.m. in Uihlein Hall. With BARE SOUNDZ, Glover strips the art of tap down to rhythmic essentials. Tickets go on sale on Sunday, October 2nd at 12:00 p.m. at the Marcus Center Box Office.
Glover has been breaking new ground for 25 years. Glover was only 12 when he appeared on Broadway in The Tap Dance Kid. Glover made his film debut alongside mentor Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis Jr. in 1989's Tap. A regular on Sesame Street from 1990-95, he earned the Tony Award for Best Choreography in 1996 with Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk. Other Broadway and film credits include Black and Blue, Jelly's Last Jam, Spike Lee's Bamboozled, and tap choreographer of the acclaimed Academy Award Winning 2006 movie Happy Feet.
