Get The Led Out-The American Led Zeppelin Comes to Marcus Center, 9/8

By:

The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts will present Get The Led Out-The American Led Zeppelin on Saturday, September 8 at 8:00 p.m. in Uihlein Hall. This performance is presented by the Marcus Center as part of its Marcus Center Presents Series. Tickets go on sale this Sunday, July 15 at 12:00 p.m. at the Marcus Center Box Office.

From the bombastic and epic, to the folky and mystical, Get The Led Out have captured the essence of the recorded music of Led Zeppelin and brought it to the big concert stage. The Philadelphia-based group consists of six accomplished musicians intent on delivering Led Zeppelin's studio recordings with all the bells and whistles. Utilizing the multi-instrumentalists at their disposal, Get The Led Out re-create the songs in all their depth and glory with the studio overdubs that Zeppelin themselves never performed live. Get The Led Out's approach to their performance of this hallowed catalog is not unlike a classical performance. "Led Zeppelin are sort of the classical composers of the rock era," says lead vocalist Paul Sinclair. "I believe 100 years from now they will be looked at as the Bach or Beethoven of our time. As cliché as it sounds, their music is timeless."

Tickets go on sale this Sunday, July 15 at 12:00 p.m. and are $26-$46. Tickets can be purchased at the Marcus Center Box Office at 929 North Water Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202, by calling 414-273-7206 or at MarcusCenter.org or Ticketmaster.com. This one night only performance will be held at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts - Uihlein Hall, 929 North Water Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202 on Saturday, September 8 at 8:00 p.m.
