The Encore Musical Theatre Company presents RENT, Jonathan Larson's rock musical inspired by Puccini's La Bohème, running April 9–May 3, 2026, at the Maas Theatre. Directed by Matt Bogart, the production follows a group of young artists—including filmmaker Mark and musician Roger—navigating life, love, and loss in New York City's East Village during the AIDS crisis. The cast features Sam O'Neill as Roger, Ze'ev Barmor as Mark, Daniela Rodriguez del Bosque as Mimi, Elle Michaels as Maureen, Melvin Tunstall III as Collins, and Jamaur Houston as Angel, among others. The show earned four Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama when it premiered on Broadway in 1996.
