Free@3 Closes 26th Season with Stellar Trio in Concert Dedicated to Founder Joan Conway
Holland's Free@3 Concert Series presents its series finale on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at First Reformed Church, 630 S. State St.
Admission is free. The concert is dedicated to the series' late founder, Joan C. Conway, in love and appreciation.
The program features violinist Dylana Jenson, violist Libor Ondras, and pianist Sookkyung Cho in works by Brahms, Massenet, and Bruch. The centerpiece is Max Bruch's Concerto for Violin and Viola, Op. 88, alongside Brahms' beloved Violin Sonata No. 2 in A major, the Scherzo from the F-A-E Sonata, and Massenet's Meditation from Thaïs.
Dylana Jenson is the youngest and first American woman to win the Silver Medal at the International Tchaikovsky Competition. She has performed with major orchestras across the U.S. and internationally, and made her Carnegie Hall debut with Eugene Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Dr. Libor Ondras is an internationally recognized conductor and violist who trained at the Moscow Conservatory under Yuri Bashmet. He serves as Music Director of both the Kent Philharmonic Orchestra and the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra, which he will lead in its Carnegie Hall debut in 2026. Pianist Sookkyung Cho holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Juilliard and serves as Associate Professor of Piano at Grand Valley State University.
This is the final concert of the Free@3 series, which Joan Conway founded and nurtured for 26 years with a mission of bringing world-class chamber music to Holland audiences at no charge. The series thanks its supporters, donors, and faithful attendees for making that vision possible. We hope you will join us for a truly memorable performance and to honor Joan Conway's dedication to the Arts for All.
