The New Theatre Project has announced that one additional performance of The Mute Quire will have to be added to the schedule in order to accommodate the overflowing crowds. An additional performance on Thursday, June 28 at 8 pm has been planned and will be a completely pay-what-you-can show. "Only have $1 – we want you! Have $100? Well how could we say no?" says Artistic Director Keith Paul Medelis.

Critical praise for The Mute Quire from the Detroit Theatre Examiner, "one of the freshest, most cheerfully engaging plays we've seen in a while." And from Damn Ann Arbor "this play reminded me of just how wonderful, entertaining, engaging and dynamic theater can be."

Two forgotten actors. A printer and his apprentice. An absurd clown and a sad one. All these characters collide in a print shop to publish the plays of the recently dead Shakespeare. Before ink meets paper, they're battling over the soul of poetry, drama, nonsense. Using verse and movement, Fratellanza transforms history into a living celebration of love.

The Mute Quire is devised and performed by Jim and Paul Manganello with Josh Berkowitz and features original music by Michael Malis. There are now four remaining performances Thursday, June 28-Sunday, July 1 at 8 pm. Tickets on Thursday are pay-what-you-can and Friday-Sunday are $15 and $10 for students/industry.

Performances take places at the Mix Studio Theater, 130 W. Michigan Ave. in Ypsilanti, MI, 48197. Tickets are available for purchase via Brown Paper Tickets accessible through the TNTP website at www.thenewtheatreproject.org. More information is also available at the TNTP website or www.fratellanzatheater.org or by calling the box office at (734) 645-9776.
