Slipstream is opening its doors for you to join in on some of the action. Two basic unarmed stage combat classes lead by company fight choreographer Steve Xander Carson.
Ever wanted to slap/punch someone square in the mouth, brawl with a friend, or choke out a foe without all the nasty repercussions? You can totally learn how to do ALL those things! Safely, agreeably, and repeatedly.
You don't have to attend both classes, you can and will learn different things in each.
Our first course will instruct how to safely execute and perform basic unarmed stage combat: slaps, punches, pushes, and chokes. Rehearsing each technique slowly to promote safety and proper technique. Class will begin with a brief warm up and stretch, followed by addressing the rules and proper technique of stage combat. By the end of the class you should be able to safely perform each basic technique, and choreograph a brief fight of your very own using the techniques practiced through class.
Our second course will introduce pushes, chokes, locks, and falls following the same structure as the first. Again by the end, you'll have the chance to choreograph a fight.
Each 3 hour session just $40
