A cast of 12 senior women bring the hilarious "Does This Show Make My Butt Look Fat?" to life for four performances September 7-10 at The Sauk in Jonesville.

This show is as funny as its title. The cast takes the audience on a comic romp through the trials and tribulations of womanhood including weight, dieting and looking good. The show is full of character, charm and laugh-out-loud humor. Best of all, the show celebrates women's self-acceptance and a reminder of the things that really matter.

The Sauk cast consists of Beverly Engle, Velvet Evans-Giacobassi, Marjorie Font, Irene Grimes-Butdorf, Jo Johnson, Sandi Miller, Francis Painter, Diane Peters, DeB Smith, Luanne Tabbert, Carol Trevino and Roene Trevisan. Ann Holt directs the production that is stage managed by Chloe Cryderman. The design team includes Bruce Crews (set), Kristin Hood (lighting), Traci Jo Hubbard (costumes) and DeB Smith (props).

"This is the second year we have produced a show with an all-senior cast," said Sauk Executive Director Trinity Bird. "All of the ladies in the cast are at least 55-years-old. It has been such a joy watching them rehearse this play, have a great time doing it and making new friendships. I think this joy will translate to the audience."

Performances begin with a "Pay What You Can" preview at 8 p.m. on September 7. Preview tickets are only available at the door and are not sold in advance. Regular performances are September 8 and 9 at 8 p.m. and September 10 at 3 p.m. All tickets are $10. Tickets can be purchased by calling 517-849-9100 or visiting www.thesauk.org. The Sauk Theatre is located at 240 E. Chicago in Jonesville.
