Olympia Entertainment Hosts The American Cancer Society's CATTLE BARON’S BALL, 9/29

By:

Olympia Entertainment today announced The American Cancer Society will return to Joe Louis Arena on Saturday, September 29 to celebrate the tenth annual Cattle Baron's Ball.

"Following the success of Joe Louis Arena's first Cattle Baron's Ball last year, we're proud to host The American Cancer Society for the second year and to share in their momentous milestone," said Tom Wilson, president and chief executive officer of Olympia Entertainment. "As the home of the 11-time Stanley Cup Champions, we hope to be a catalyst for another successful event."

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 248-663-3401.

The event will be led by Honorary Chair Jim Farley, Ford Motor Company's Group Vice President for Global Marketing, Sales and Service, and will be supported by many of the area's most respected corporate and civic leaders.

The Cattle Baron's Ball has earned its rightful place as one of the most distinctive charitable events in metro Detroit having raised nearly $9 million to support the fight against cancer since 2003. Known for its festive atmosphere and delicious western fare, the Cattle Baron's Ball unites diamonds and denim with black tie and boots to fight the ongoing battle against cancer in metro Detroit and beyond.

"This year, we celebrate a significant milestone with 10 years and nearly $9 million raised for our organization," said Jill Elder, vice president, American Cancer Society. "And, we acknowledge that this would not be possible without the amazing support of metro Detroit businesses and individuals that give of their time, money and talents each year. Together, we have made an important impact on cancer, enabling us to continue funding services, information and support for the more than 65 people a day that are diagnosed with cancer here in metro Detroit. "
