The New Theatre Project is pleased to announce a special one-night only event, for the closet masochist in all of us. An Evening of Broadway Flops: Moments of Legendary Badness (whose title is derived from a Ben Brantley review) will take place on Sunday, January 9 at the popular downtown Ann Arbor restaurant, Sava's at 216 S. State Street.

Surprise special guest performers from the local theater community and the University of Michigan will sing songs from the greatest failures of all time to hit the Broadway stage. The songs will be interspersed with quotations from deliciously bad reviews by Frank Rich, Ben Brantley and other theater critics.

Additionally, the evening will be capped off with a reading from a play so notoriously bad that "From now on, there will always be two groups of theatergoers in this world: those who have seen it" and "will undoubtedly hold
periodic reunions, in the noble tradition of survivors of the Titanic" and those who have not.

Tickets can be reserved by calling or texting The New Theatre Project box office at (734) 645-9776 or emailing tickets@thenewtheatreproject.org. Tickets are $10
if pre-reserved and $13 at the door (cash or check only).

Doors open at 6:30 pm and Sava's will offer a full menu and bar, including half off bottles of wine. A one drink minimum is suggested for the full enjoyment of the show, which will start at 8 pm. Limited seating is available; seating is first come, first serve.

Come bear witness to the Epic Fail before it became an internet meme. Disaster never looked or sounded this funny.
