Vocalist Kate Brennan and pianist Harvey Reed present their newest jazz cabaret show "LUVMusic" with Paul Keller on bass, Friday, May 15 at Matrix Theatre located at 2730 Bagley in the heart of southwest Detroit's Mexicantown. The show begins at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $50 or $100 for preferred seating with some fantastic added benefits guaranteed to make the evening extra special! Seating is limited. Call 313 967 0599 to reserve tickets or order online at www.matrixtheatre.org.

Brennan describes this show as a collection of songs about the aspects of love. "It includes something for everyone...cynics, romantics, the broken-hearted, and even a couple of songs for those commitment-phobic people out there," said Brennan. After the performance, patrons will cross the street to the Repair the World Workshop, a hip, newly-renovated community space. There they will enjoy an afterglow reception featuring delicious hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and specialty drinks.

Brennan and Reed have been sharing their special brand of jazz cabaret with audiences since 1992 when they took to the stage at the Whitney Restaurant on its Jazz on 3 series. Since then, they have performed at Kerrytown Concert Hall in Ann Arbor, Orchestra Hall, Cuisine Restaurant, the Whitney, and numerous other local venues.
