Costume Design and Acting Classes Offered at Grosse Pointe Theatre

Grosse Pointe Theatre will conduct a Costume Design Class on Thursday nights for three weeks (March 11-18-25) from 7:30 - 9:30 PM. The fee is $50 or $25 for Grosse Pointe Theatre Members. The class will be taught by Mary Lou Olszewski, professional costumer and long-time Grosse Pointe resident. This is a great opportunity to learn from a professional in the field who is a longtime GPT Member. Note: This is not a sewing class, but a class in the elements of designing a live theatrical show. Classes will be held at 315 Fisher Road in Grosse Pointe.

An introductory level acting class Yes, You Can Ac!" starts March 24th. The class will meet every Wednesday night for six weeks from 7:30 - 9:30 PM. The class will be taught by veteran actor/teacher Harry Burkey, and will feature video feedback. Each student will receive a a private one hour one-on-one analysis of their progress and a DVD of their exercises. The fee is $85.00 or $60.00 for Grosse Pointe Theatre members. Grosse Pointe Theatre is a community theatre with members from throughout the Metro Detroit area and beyond. Membership in Grosse Pointe Theatre is open to all person, age 18 and above, who have an interest in theatre. Annual dues are $30.
