Circle Theatre produces an annual concert series that features many of the area's best vocalists and musicians. Live music in an intimate setting gives all audience members an up-close and personal experience unique only to Circle Theatre. Starting off the series in May of 2014 is the concert PIANOMEN: THE MUSIC OF BILLY JOEL & ELTON JOHN, running May 12, June 9 and August 11.

Circle Theatre is celebrating the iconic songs of two of the rock/pop sensations in music history: Billy Joel and Elton John.

The Circle Theatre concert Pianomen: The Music of Billy Joel & Elton John will be directed by Kelly Carey. Carey's previous directorial credits at Circle Theatre include concert hits like Hits of the 80's, Unplugged, Moonshine Serenade, Singer/Songwriters of the 70's and Timeless.

The design team features lighting designer Catherine Marlett Dreher, and sound designer Roy Wallace.

The cast of Pianomen features vocalists Kelly Carey and Ryan Potts accompanied by Nick Ayoub on keyboard, Patrick Handlin on bass, Chris Bookie on drums and Matt Young on guitar.

Performances will be held on May 12, June 9 and August 11 at the Aquinas College Performing Arts Center. Curtain for concert performances is at 7:00PM. Tickets are $17 and can be purchased by calling the Circle Theatre box office at 616.456.6656 or on line at www.circletheatre.org. The box office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5:00PM and from noon to curtain on days of performances.

2014 will mark Circle Theatre's 62nd year of producing plays and musicals for West Michigan audiences. Other productions in the 2014 season include the rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar, the comedies Don't Dress For Dinner and One Man Two Guvnors, the hilarious musical comedy, Monty Python's Spamalot and the musical thriller Carrie The Musical. Circle also offers the children's story A Sleeping Beauty Somewhere In Time as part of their Family Magic Circle Series. Circle's 2014 Summer Concert Series will perform on select Monday evenings at 7:00PM and will feature the iconic music of The Eagles (Take It To The Limit), Simon & Garfunkel (Feelin' Groovy) and the musical stories of Harry Chapin (Keep the Change). The theatre first produced shows at the Rowe Hotel before moving to the Pantlind Hotel and the pavilion in John Ball Park. Circle Theatre now shares a performing arts center with Aquinas College and the Catholic Secondary Schools at the Aquinas College Performing Arts Center.
