Bay City Players Announces Summer 2014 Workshops

In July and August, Bay City Players Stages of Discovery will hold a series of workshops focusing on some of the performance and technical aspects of theatre. Students will participate in activities that help to develop skills in theatre arts.

Acting, movement, creative thinking and problem solving, awareness of the world around us, and theatre technology will be explored. All activities will be conducted by skilled and experienced theatre personnel.

Schedule

Weeks One, Two and Three

July 21 - 24 and July 28 - 31, and August 4 - 8.

Students who have completed second through twelfth grades are eligible to register.

Due to a major renovation project at the Bay City Players, sessions for all three weeks will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church at 501 S Catherine St, Bay City, MI 48706 from 10:00 to 3:00, Monday through Thursday. Students must bring their own lunches (refrigerators are available). We thank Messiah Lutheran Church for providing space for our Stages of Discovery program this summer.

The fee for the two-week series of workshops is $80.

The third week is a full week and there may be a small charge for that week. Some partial need-based scholarships are available. Apply for scholarships by letter to Joanne Berry (jmberryjm@aol.com).
