Basement Arts Seeks Winter 2015 Proposals; Deadline 1/12

Interested in proposing a show to Basement Arts? Here's what you need to know!

If you're looking to direct a play this season, submit your proposal by MONDAY, JANUARY 12 at 5 pm. You can drop your completed proposal form off in the folder on the Basement Arts call board (located in the hallway outside of Studio One in the Walgreen Drama Center) or you can email it electronically to basement.info@umich.edu. In addition to the proposal form, submit a copy of the play you are proposing.

Interviews are set for SUNDAY, JANUARY 18 from 11am-2pm. Interviews will take place in the Small Classroom of the WDC. Make sure you sign up for a 15-minute interview slot on the doodle link here: http://doodle.com/6txhrwxuep37ek65.

On the proposal form, you will be asked to list your top three weekend choices. The following dates are the available weekends you may choose from. Please think about your semester and plan accordingly. Keep in mind, these dates are subject to change.

Show 5: April 2-4

Please note that ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS ARE WELCOME!!! As a completely student-run theatre organization, Basement Arts is genuinely interested in the voices of youth culture on campus, who may or may not have had previous opportunities to speak out. We encourage those who are interested in proposing to take risks, think boldly, and expand their ambitions as artists and creative thinkers.
