For the first time in twenty-seven years, the London bedroom farce, MOVE OVER, MRS. MARKHAM returns to the historic Barn Theatre, now celebrating its 68th season. MARKHAM opens tonight, July 22 for a two week engagement through Sunday, August 3.

From the hit writing team of Ray Cooney and John Chapman, MOVE OVER, MRS. MARKHAM has become a Barn Theatre favorite, having been presented three other times: in 1975, 1979, and 1987. Set in London, Joanna and Philip Markham plan an evening out, leaving their flat empty for the night. When their adulterous friends, Linda Lodge (Melissa Cotton), who wants desperately to "entertain" Walter Pangbourne (Patrick Hunter) and her always-philandering husband Henry Lodge (portrayed by Bruce Hammond), who plots to get to know the telephone girl (second year apprentice Lindsay Maron) - both plan to converge on the Markham's flat, as the Markhams attempt to keep their little plots secret from each other, and the perpetrators. To complicate things further their interior designer Alistair (Kevin Robert White) and maid Sylvie (fourth year apprentice Bethany Edlund) also plan for a night alone in the flat; while children's book author, Miss Smythe (second year apprentice Jillian Weimer), brings the promiscuity to a halt, in her attempt to sign Philip Markham as her new publisher. Mix-ups, mistaken identities and bad accents abound as the Markham's seek to settle the chaos and stay true to their fifteen year marriage. The hilarity that ensues in this riotous, adult comedy is sure to leave audiences in stitches!

Rounding out the creative team is Kerith Parashak as Scenic Designer, Michael Wilson Morgan as Costume Designer, and Paul Collins as Lighting Designer. Sam Silva is Sound Designer, and Properties are designed by Bethany Edlund.
