Entr'Acte Theatrix & Palm Beach Principal Players to Host Special Tribute to Jan McArt at the Count de Hoernle Theatre in Boca Raton – July 8

Following a Sunday Matinee Performance of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, the Piano Bar/Pizza Party will be a Reunion of Friends & Performers from the Former Royal Palm Dinner Theatre

Vickie Halmos, executive producer of Entr'Acte Theatrix and Palm Beach Principal Players, announced that she will be hosting a special after-show tribute to Jan McArt, the Director of Theatre Arts Program Development at Lynn University who is widely recognized as the First Lady of Florida's Musical Theatre.

Ms. McArt will be honored at a Piano Bar/Pizza Party at the Count de Hoernle Theatre (formerly "The Caldwell") following the Sunday matinee performance of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR on July 8.

This heart-warming and music-filled tribute to Jan McArt will include a reunion of supporters and performers from her long-running Royal Palm Dinner Theatre, where an after-show pizza party was a tradition. The cost to attend both JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and the after-show tribute is only $35 in advance and $40 day of show.

"Just as this production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is resurrecting the recently-shuttered Caldwell Theatre, so too are we going to use this show to remember with great fondness another vanished cultural landmark in Boca Raton, the Royal Palm Dinner Theatre, and its guiding light and guardian angel, the always enchanting Jan McArt," said Halmos.

With a dynamic 25-person cast, this production of the smash hit musical JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice will run for 10 performances at the Count de Hoernle Theatre, the former home of the Caldwell Theatre Company, located at 7901 North Federal Highway in Boca Raton:

Entr'Acte Theatrix is an offshoot of the Palm Beach Principal Players, which started more than a decade ago and targeting high school and college students interested in musical theater but who had limited opportunities to perform. Over the last decade, Principal Players has presented nearly 20 shows featuring hundreds of local young people, many of whom have gone on to professional careers or top educational programs. Because these young but "seasoned" performers still need opportunities to work with top professionals and begin their professional careers with impressive resumes and a network of industry contacts, Entr'Acte Theatrix was formed. The company's goal is to produce shows that will give these talented young people an opportunity to perform in a first class venue and gain professional experience. Entr'Acte Theatrix is a subsidiary of the Peter and Vicki Halmos Family Foundation. For more information, please visit www.entractetheatrix.org.
