Toxic Audio Brings Their Off-Broadway Act to the Winter Garden 10/1-2

By: Sep. 08, 2010

Central Florida's own Toxic Audio will perform four shows at the Garden Theatre (160 West Plant Street) Friday-Saturday, October 1-2 at 7pm and 9pm. These performances are sponsored by CenturyLink and will overlap the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation's MusicFest, an annual outdoor music festival that takes place on Plant Street.

This will be Toxic Audio's first appearance at the Garden Theatre. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 the day of the show. CenturyLink customers have two great opportunities for tickets to Toxic Audio. The first 50 CenturyLink customers for each performance will receive FREE tickets by presenting a current CenturyLink statement (limit 2). After those tickets have been distributed, CenturyLink customers can purchase their tickets for $10 each with a current CenturyLink statement. For tickets or additional information, contact the Garden Theatre Box Office at 407-877-GRDN (4736) or gardentheatre.org.

Star Kraschinsky, Market Development Manager of CenturyLink said, "Once again, we are proud to support the Garden Theatre and the City of Winter Garden by bringing this exciting show to the theatre."

ABOUT Toxic Audio
Toxic Audio is a theatrical mixed vocal band who combines popular and original songs, musical improvisation, and comedic sound effects in their high energy performances without the use of musical instruments. The "Toxins" create their unique sound by combining tight a cappella harmonies with vocal percussion and voice effects processors. Styles include contemporary pop, rock-n-roll, jazz, hip-hop, comedy, and improvisational songs. They've traveled across the country performing their concert show and opening for the likes of Tony Bennett, Ziggy Marley, The Rippingtons, and The Bobs. They've performed in a variety of venues across the country including New York, Las Vegas, Boston, Washington D.C. and Colorado as well as appearing at Walt Disney World.
In 2003, Toxic Audio's album, Chemistry was named "Album of the Year" by the Contemporary Acappella Society of America. The group has made national TV appearances with Ed McMahon and Wayne Brady, and even got to sing a reggae-style weather report on ESPN2's morning show "Cold Pizza." Toxic Audio won the 2004 Drama Desk Award for "Unique Theatrical Experience" for their Off-Broadway Show in New York's John Houseman Theatre where they electrified audiences.
