After breaking box office records at the Center in 2008, Forbidden Broadway is set to leave its uproarious mark on Miami once again, on stage in the intimate Carnival Studio Theater from December 14 - 26, 2010. Roasting and toasting Broadway hits - including those on the current Adrienne Arsht Center lineup, from In the Heights to Jersey Boys - the show promises two straight weeks of non-stop laughs.

"When Forbidden Broadway played the Adrienne Arsht Center two years ago, South Florida whole-heartedly embraced the clever antics and wicked humor that have become synonymous with this stellar show," said M. John Richard, president and CEO of the Adrienne Arsht Center. "Now, the show returns with a custom-made delicacy for Miami to enjoy - spoofing the very shows Miami knows and loves, as only this talented cast and creative team can!"

The side-splitting savagery known as Forbidden Broadway which took Miami by storm in 2008 and broke box office records for the Carnival Studio Theater, returns with an all-star lineup. Direct from the most recent Off-Broadway run, Miami native Gina Kreiezmar returns home, where she will be joined on stage by James Donegan, Jeanne Montano, and William Selby. Now celebrating its 29th hilarious year, this exciting limited two-week run features all new Broadway victims, many that have recently played in Miami including Wicked, Spring Awakening, and Mamma Mia! as well as many Broadway hits soon to make their Miami debut at the Adrienne Arsht Center, such as Jersey Boys and Beauty and the Beast. Plus, hilarious new looks at old favorites Phantom of the Opera, Little Shop of Horrors, Les Misérables, and Chicago. Rounding out the laughs are Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein, a comic tribute to Stephen Sondheim, plus much more Broadway past and present.

Forbidden Broadway has received a host of honors, including a special Tony Award for Excellence in the Theatre, a 2009 Drama Desk Award, Obie Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, and the Broadway.com Audience Favorite Award.
