The Playgroup, LLC Presents SURFING THE RUBICON

By:

The Playgroup, LLC is proud to present its second season at the Willow Theatre at Sugar Sand Park in Boca Raton, starting with SURFING THE RUBICON, directed by Brian Reeves. A dinner party in an effort to impress a wealthy socialite takes quite an unexpected turn when a surprise guest shows up.

Mitch's old friend, Biggs, shows up at a bad time. It is the day of a dinner party at which Mitch and his wife, Ginny, hope to secure an investment from a wealthy Palm Beach socialite. To make matters worse, Mitch has to keep Biggs out of Ginny's sight until after the party because Ginny hates Biggs. It seems she has never forgiven him for ruining her wedding.

Six performances at the Willow Theatre at Sugar Sand Park, 300 S. Military Trail, Boca Raton, FL, 33486. November 11 through November 20, 2016. Friday and Saturday at 8PM, Sunday at 2PM. Rated PG-13. Tickets: $25, groups of 4 or more are $15 each. Visit www.theplaygroupllc.com or call (561) 347-3948.

Founded in 2010, The Playgroup is committed to showcasing the work of local artists; playwrights, directors and actors. We only produce original plays by local playwrights and in addition to our three productions per year, we also hold monthly playwrights' workshops at the Glades Road Branch Library in Boca Raton, Fl. where playwrights can develop their projects and network with local actors and directors. Productions of this canon include: LITTLE PIGGIES and BROKEN ANGELS by Todd Caster, JOSEPH ANDREWS by Peter Hawkins, THE MONSTER PROJECT by Brian Harris, THE LAST OF THE AZTECS by Joe Feinstein, SCENES FROM A CHINESE RESTAURANT by Tom Andrew, and SHORTCUTS 1,2,3, 4, 5, AND 6. The Playgroup constantly seeks new playwrights to showcase. Visit our website at http:// www.theplaygroupllc.com
