Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dave Mason is a perennial sell-out at the Lyric.

His career reads like a "Who's Who" of rock legends: At age 18, he teamed up with Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood to form the band Traffic. Within a year he'd written "Feelin' alright," a song that has become a timeless anthem recorded by nearly 50 artists. In his 2008 album, "26 Letters - 12 Notes," Mason returned to the songwriting roots that made him a legend, with new materials like "Good 2 U," "One Day" and "How Do I Get to Heaven."

Throughout his critically acclaimed solo career, Mason has recorded with such notable musicians as Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, George Harrison and Fleetwood Mac (with whom he toured for two years). He scored a top-ten hit of his own with "We Just Disagree." Mason's guitar solo on "All Along the Watchtower" was a featured classic track on Hendrix's "Electric Ladyland" album, and the song remains a favorite in his live performances.

You'll want to get your tickets early for what promises to be another sold-out stint in Stuart.
